CATS Abridged Edition is opening tonight!

You're invited to The Regals' Jellicle Ball!
 

The Jellicle Cats come out to play on one special night of the year - the night of the Jellicle Ball. One by one they tell their stories for the amusement of Old Deuteronomy, their wise and benevolent leader, who must choose one special cat to ascend to the Heaviside Layer and be reborn into a whole new Jellicle life.

This abridged edition of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s acclaimed musical CATS, one of the longest running musicals in history, is designed for younger performers, and has been wonderfully brought to life on stage by two stellar Regals casts; the "Kittens" cast (7-12 years old ) and the "Tabbies" cast (13-18 years old), who perform a total of 10 alternating shows.
 

 

The two casts ("Kittens" 7-12 years old and "Tabbies" 13-18 years old) include some of the best nurtured talent that Rockdale Town Hall has seen for years, and they do an outstanding job of bringing this iconic musical to life!
 

We'd particularly like to thank our dedicated team of cast members and parents, led by Kelly O'Mara. who have put in months of work hand-painting, sewing and knitting tailored unitards, gloves, legwarmers and tails, and practising make-up unique to each performer.  The costumes and make-up alone are simply breathtaking and on par with anything you’d see outside of the community theatre world!
