LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT: DEANNA SAVAGE

What a marvelous month it’s been and here we are, within weeks of a full-blown Summerfest. Most notably, our annual fundraiser themed as a Sock Hop was May 19. It was a blast! If you joined us that day, I hope you found the Sunday afternoon enjoyable and light with satisfaction knowing you’ve made a difference to a neighbor experiencing breast cancer. To the attendees, contributors, businesses and individuals who donated, each Cream City Swing volunteer, Best Place staff – I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Special thanks to my sweet niece, Anna Trokan for her magical graphic work and Mark Bertieri for his role in making the venue happen along with some great photographs from the day. The all-volunteer Board: Mark, Suzzette, Becky, Erin and Amanda. Each of you make Savage Support a success and your dedication has brought us this far.
We are a grassroots organization and continue to add beneficiaries for practical aid. Please share our information with others who may have a need or another who has an interest contributing toward the common goal. Success relies on us working together.
June promises a season we crave all year – the enthusiasm for summer is contagious, borderline frenzied sometimes. I’ll be trying to memorize the warm breeze, the peaceful sound of chirping crickets and singing birds, the quality time with loved ones while appreciating what the next trip around the sun offers.

If you didn't know, we just recently had our fourth annual Savage Support Fundraiser and, in typical fashion, we had an absolute blast!
The food was amazing. The silent auction items were great. The dancing was SO much fun!
