Has there ever been such an exciting line up ahead of an ultra-endurance race? With a host of previous winners as well as podium finishers from other prestigious ultra races, the HT550 coverage is worth bookmarking. The route goes into some of the most remote parts of the UK and we'll be doing our best to bring you updates as they happen.
A brief scan of Neil's palmares reveals he's no stranger to podiums and outright wins at some of the toughest bike races in the world. It will come as no surprise then that he holds the current record for the HT550 at a staggering 3D 10H 22M. Read about his encounter with the Scottish terrain ahead of this week's race. Meanwhile, we can only speculate whether the record will be broken.
