Gathered Prayer on Sunday Mornings

Join us on Sunday mornings at 8am as we gather together to praise God for who He is, confess our sins, pray for the needs of our church body, and thank God for what He’s done. We will resume meeting in the small room next to the Fellowship Hall next Sunday.

Safe Families Training on June 8

  • Family Friend Training (8:30am-noon): Family Friends voluntarily connect with at-risk families in order to encourage and strengthen these families so that they may thrive. Family Friends can also support Host Families in many different ways including providing meals, respite care, and transportation. This training will lay the groundwork for learning how to engage with families in crisis as well as care for their children who are in host homes.  Join us as we complete this training together on June 8th from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm in Gallery 14. Lunch is provided. Childcare is available upon request.
  • Host Family Training (1-4pm): Host Families voluntarily take in children for short periods of time.  These families are screened and approved by Safe Families for Children.  As a Host Family, you will make a lasting impression on a child in need and possibly change the trajectory of a family in crisis.  This training will cover everything from welcoming the child into your home to returning that child to his home.  Join us as we complete this training together on June 8th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm in Gallery 14.  Lunch is provided. Childcare is available upon request.

Power Up Clubs, July 15-18

Power Up Clubs are coming to Tallahassee this summer from 7/15-18 and we are in need of TWO MORE HOST HOMES. Youth from Four Oaks Midtown and East will be putting the gospel on display in front yards all across Tallahassee and the church will be supporting them! Power Up Clubs are overtly evangelistic and aim to go into the places we live. Please consider being involved. If you are interested, fill out the online form. For more information, watch the video below, or contact me. I would love to tell you more!

Gospel Partner Update: Kenneth & Sarah

What’s the latest?
Kenneth and Sarah are members of Four Oaks Midtown and plan to serve in Taiwan as missionaries with TEAM (The Evangelical Alliance Mission). They first encountered Taiwan during short-term mission trips while in high school and college and now want to serve the people for an extended amount of time. They are currently raising support and hope to move to Taiwan at the end of the summer to work with TEAM Taiwan’s ministries in church planting, inductive Bible studies, and youth camps. They will also be immersed in language learning and cultural acquisition.

If you would like to financially partner with them, click here. To receive their newsletters, click here.

How can we praise God with you?

  • Praise God for His financial provision! We reached 60% of our monthly financial goal. This sends us to our Pre-Departure Orientation with TEAM in June.
  • Praise God for the special community and family He has given us in the church.
  • Praise God for the ways that He is preparing and training us for overseas missions.

How can we pray for you?

  • Pray for our hearts as we begin a season of transition. Our jobs are wrapping up as the school year comes to a close, and we know that good-byes and new hellos are coming soon.
  • Pray for wisdom as we plan where we spend our summer.
  • Pray for the hearts of people in Taiwan to be prepared to encounter the Gospel and that our hearts will be filled with love and truth to share with them.
