May 17 | Small Business Concierge 

Join Mark Stewart from the Mecklenburg County Office of Economic Development Small Business Concierge Program provides help with creating business and operational plans, filing for an assumed name, finding funding sources, demystifies legal structures, keeping up with taxes and records, and so much more! May 19 | College Awareness Workshops
Friendship Missionary Baptist Church welcomes parents of all middle school and high school students to attend the College Awareness Workshops. Monthly workshops held on various college readiness topics leading up to a HBCU Fair on September 28th. All workshops will begin immediately following the 9:30am church service and will be held in the Choir Room. Register here>>

The Art and Science Council will provide a visual art workshop series at Beatties Ford Library, with a different project activity at each workshop. More Information>>

May 23 | Building Equitable Cities with Henry Cisneros
Come out to the crucial, action-oriented conversation with Henry Cisneros, former mayor of San Antonio and former HUD Secretary under Pres. Bill Clinton. Cisneros offers practical people-based and place-based strategies for driving equitable growth in cities, with a healthy dose of inspiration and vision.
