Youth Event Coordinators
Summer Employment
The Cowichan Valley Arts Council is hiring two full-time youth event coordinators for the summer to plan and implement youth activities and interact with the public. The projects include a youth art camp, an art show and an art tent at special events.
Some schedule flexibility is required to work some Saturdays. Coordinators will help erect a small canopy for public art activities at a local markets and festivals.
The successful candidates should have: Good communications skills; Planning and organizing skills; An ability to work on a team; An interest in the arts; Experience as a recreation leader working with children.
Employment dates: June 17 to August 23, 2019 Pay: $15 per hour / Hours per week: 35 About: The purpose of the Cowichan Valley Arts Council (CVAC) is to enrich community through the lens of arts and culture. CVAC has existed for almost 50 years as a non-profit registered charity and runs a community art gallery located in the Island Savings Centre.
