For those struggling…

By Zero Dean @ Zerosophy.com on May 16, 2019 12:05 pm

For those struggling...

If you are struggling, remember: “This, too, shall pass”. But also know that whatever we are struggling with passes faster when we focus on the steps we can take to change our lives for the better, no matter how small those steps may be. Because over time, even small steps can carry us a great distance.

Always, always, always focus on what you CAN do.

For those struggling, remember, “ThisTooShallPass”. But it passes faster when we focus on the steps we can take to change our lives for the better, no matter how small those steps may be. Because over time, even little steps can carry us a great distance.

A healthy attitude is a precursor to happiness

By Zero Dean @ Zerosophy.com on May 16, 2019 11:40 am

A healthy attitude is a precursor to happiness

healthy attitude is what allows a person to see the value in all life experiences, not just the “good” ones.

The simple decision to be happy isn’t as much of a precursor to happiness as a healthy attitude is. A healthy attitude is what allows one to truly appreciate the journey of life regardless of one’s circumstances.

The more one learns to enjoy & appreciate not just the highlights of one’s life, but the complete journey, the more often happiness arrives as a result of that enjoyment.

Be mindful of your intentions vs your actions

By Zero Dean @ Zerosophy.com on May 16, 2019 09:45 am

Be mindful of your intentions vs your actions

Be mindful of the discrepancy between what you intend to do and what you are actually doing. The person who acts only out of habit, and not desire, is a puppet.

Criticism is common

Criticism is common

Criticism is common.

People who don’t let it adversely affect them are not.

Be uncommon.

If you don’t want to be the type of person who lets criticism impact their life in a significant way, don’t be.

Silent support isn’t supportive

By Zero Dean @ Zerosophy.com on May 15, 2019 12:51 pm

Silent support isn't supportive

  • “I liked that shop, it’s too bad they closed.”
  • “That was a great website, I wonder why it went offline.”
  • “I really like that artist, I wonder why they don’t make art anymore.”

Silent support isn’t supportive.

Support can be anything from kind words & encouragement, positive feedback, to patronage & purchases. If you like or appreciate something, take the time to express it.

Saved by criticism

By Zero Dean @ Zerosophy.com on May 15, 2019 11:49 am

Saved by criticism

“The trouble with most of us is that we would rather be ruined by praise than saved by criticism.” — Norman Vincent Peale

Be confident enough in yourself to listen to criticism and explore views you don’t necessarily agree with — because those who always agree with you will rarely push you to improve as much as those who don’t.

“A wise person knows that there is something to be learned from everyone.” — Unknown

Seek potency not popularity

Popularity seekers cherish perception.

Potency seekers cherish results.

Resisting the urge to run & hide

By Zero Dean @ Zerosophy.com on May 15, 2019 08:10 am

Resisting the urge to run & hide

To express anything online these days is to open yourself up to criticism & abuse. It’s likely better to learn to not let it affect your sense of self-worth or well-being than it is to seek ways to remove yourself from any situation where you may have to deal with it.
