STAY UP-TO-DATE
When was the last time you updated your website? Have you posted anything on your social media lately?
On any given day, someone may need to learn about your agency's services or even how he or she can help you through financial or volunteer assistance. You do not want to miss out on any potential contacts simply because the needed information is outdated or unavailable.
Why not take a few minutes to peruse your sites?
Make sure your website has all the following:
- Easy-to-understand headings and topics
- Contact information (location, phone number, email address) on every page
- Current hours of operation
- A current list of services provided and the means of obtaining those services
- Ways to donate money and volunteer time
- Working hyperlinks
If you have not posted any news on social media, now is the time to do that. If someone goes to your page and sees nothing posted in the last several months, he is likely to believe that your agency is no longer functioning. This is a case where no news is bad news.
If you need a volunteer to handle your technology, why not post the opportunity on the hub?
