Whether you're headed on an adventure or staying close to home this summer, I hope this weekly Well Check provides some ideas and inspiration.
ready for summer sun, fun, and travel?
Where will this summer take you, Friend?

Next weekend, Memorial Day unofficially kicks off the "summer travel season," and you may be making plans.

The days already have grown warm here in North Carolina. I notice I'm more thirsty each day than I was a couple of months ago, and I already might be a little tired of sweating as soon as I walk outside. And with the school year soon to end, we've planned some family adventures.

So what do we need to keep in mind to stay healthy this summer?

Whenever and whereever you'll be traveling, here are some ideas for packing your healthy habits and staying well.

And if you're wondering if with these warmer temperatures you're drinking enough water, you may be interested in this article.

Finally, here's what I've learned about essential oils that are great to have on hand in the summer, especially some to cope with sun and bugs.

May you have a wonderful weekend. Thanks for reading and sharing this with a friend each week.

With grace and space for a healthier you,

The Summer Day
Who made the world?
Who made the swan, and the black bear?
Who made the grasshopper?
This grasshopper, I mean-
the one who has flung herself out of the grass,
the one who is eating sugar out of my hand,
who is moving her jaws back and forth instead of up and down-
who is gazing around with her enormous and complicated eyes.
Now she lifts her pale forearms and thoroughly washes her face.
Now she snaps her wings open, and floats away.
I don't know exactly what a prayer is.
I do know how to pay attention, how to fall down
into the grass, how to kneel down in the grass,
how to be idle and blessed, how to stroll through the fields,
which is what I have been doing all day.
Tell me, what else should I have done?
Doesn't everything die at last, and too soon?
Tell me, what is it you plan to do
with your one wild and precious life?
