The number 1 question I got this week was about networking, specifically how do you figure out WHO you should reach out to?
When you think about it like that, it feels like an overwhelming, almost impossible goal. Which means we shy away from it. So I want to give you the steps to make it easy and possible:
1. Create a list of 5-10 companies that you want to work at.
2. Look at potential peers/colleagues, add them to your list.
3. Look at other individuals within the department you would be targetting, add them to your list.
4. Look at key decision makers (aka the hiring manager), add them to your list.
5. Email them asking to chat.
All done!
