Alan Santinele Martino
I am a firm believer in the importance of gathering, sharing, and using evidence from research to make well-informed decisions. Through my years in academia, I have developed a commitment to using knowledge mobilization to inform practice, policy, and program development, as well as an interest in understanding and addressing complex social issues, including those related to disabilities, gender, and sexualities. My doctoral research, for example, focuses on the complex romantic and sexual experiences of adults labeled with intellectual disabilities in Ontario. I bring to the Centre solid skills in multiple research and analysis techniques, and experience in strategic project management and different aspects of knowledge mobilization. I look forward to this terrific opportunity to engage in exciting projects at the Live Work Well Research Centre.
