The Built for Zero Simcoe County team in partnership with the County of Simcoe is overseeing the development of a Simcoe County Coordinated Access System. Built for Zero Simcoe County is a member of Built for Zero- Canada, a national movement. A Coordinated Access System is an important element of an effective homeless services and supports system.

Reaching Home: Canada’s Homelessness Strategy requires Simcoe County to implement a Coordinated Access System by 2022. Coordinated Access Systems are standardized access, assessment and referral processes that facilitate easy access to needed services for people who are, or who are at risk of experiencing homelessness.

The main goal of Coordinated Access Systems is to facilitate easy access to housing and related supports.
Developing Guiding Principles is the first step to prepare for the implementation of a Coordinated Access System in Simcoe County.

As an organization that provides services to those experiencing homelessness and those at imminent risk of homelessness, we are asking for your input to develop Simcoe County’s guiding principles.
