We will formally announce the finalists and winners of each award, as well as recognise the efforts and achievements of the Gateway to Industry schools for Aerospace on 20th November 2019 at Room Three Sixty in Brisbane.This exciting new venue for the awards ceremony is located above QUT's Science and Engineering Centre and has panoramic views of the city skyline.
Aviation High Schoolheld their 2019 Open Day on 25th May. Many prospective students attended to participate in the Aviation experiences. One of their partners, Airwork Helicopters landed a training helicopter on the school oval. Students enjoyed sitting in the pilot seat and imagining a career as a helicopter pilot.

UPCOMING EVENTS
For any school interested in attending the Fraser Coast Drones & Innovation Showcase, there will be three time-slots provided offering a an opportunity to walk through and interact with the exhibition and display for approximately 20-30 people per time-slot.
There may be a chance to sit in on a presentation or two during the applicable time-slot but will be based on availability on the day.
The QLD Air Museum Open Cockpit Weekend will feature a Virtual Reality and Flight Controller display by Joyce Mayne featuring the latest technology. You can try out your pilot skills and sit in 20 historic aircraft.
