SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT !!!!
On Friday May 17, 2019 ACCLA President Joseph Geisinger signed a 1-year contract to hold the Ancient Coin Club of Los Angeles monthly meetings at Skirball Cultural Center. Our first meeting will be held at the Skirball campus on June 9, 2019 in classroom 160.
Skirball Cultural Center is located by the 405 Freeway at the top of the Sepulveda Pass at 2701 N Sepulveda Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90049 (Click on the link to get directions and maps).
Our new meeting room is close to the main entrance to the Skirball. If you have been to Skirball before, classroom 160 is located on the courtyard next to the lily pond and across from the cafeteria. If you haven't been there before, the Skirball campus is located on Sepulveda Boulevard next to the 405 Freeway just a couple of exits south of our old meeting location. To get there by Freeway, exit the 405 North or 405 South at Skirball Center Drive. Turn right onto Sepulveda Boulevard. After a few hundred yards, you will see the main entrance to the Skirball Cultural Center on your left.
Park in the East or the North parking lots. There is also a designated handicapped parking lot just south of the main entrance. The East parking lot is directly across Sepulveda Boulevard from the main entrance. The North parking lot is located a few hundred feet north of the main entrance. Parking is free. On busy weekends, parking spaces will be reserved for Ancient Coin Club of Los Angeles meeting attendees.
For non-drivers, public transit is also an option.
Classroom 160 is only a short walk from the main entrance. There are lots of helpful Skirball Cultural Center staff who can point the way. If all else fails look for the handsome dude (aka Mike) in the ACCLA T-shirt or call him at 818-312-4496. He'll be hanging by the main entrance just before the start of the meeting.
