Web-based mapping for businesses

Spectrum has just secured another client who needs a web based mapping system world-wide to show their territories and locations. Using a combination of Mango Maps and aligning the data using our Pitney-Bowes MapInfo GIS, we can basically cover the world.

If you are taking on international expansion, whether in a large way like F45 Training, or in a smaller way like Jade Winter at Studio Pilates – there can be a relatively simple way to make you look good, and understanding of the various mapping and demographic issues in almost any country in the world.

If you do have some offshore business, this is a great way to have a standard set of territory maps and be able to see your own sites, basic demographics and your competitors. Mango Maps allows you to send a link for a specific territory of interest to a potential franchisee, without having to show your whole network plans. So far we have provided the service in 31 different countries, and naturally we can also use it to see your Australian and New Zealand stores and territories.

We have developed this improved version of our web mapping solution, in which we have created a new demo for around Melbourne for an imaginary car wash network.

However, think of this as a way to look at your territories & layers showing other data relevant to your business such as numbers of agricultural businesses in any area or post code. We also provide some other layers like SEIFA, general population density etc.

Click on our logo right below and this will open a link in your browser:
Please have a play with this as it is fairly obvious to pick up:

  •          Firstly, click on Themes (upper left) and you can decide which map looks best for you.
  •          Now click Layers (upper left) and you can turn on and off the various layers, and use the slide bar beside the Layers to move up and down – Blue = ON, Grey = OFF.
  •          Click on Legend (Upper left) to have the Legends come ON.
  •          Click on a site / location or Territory, and a data box should open with some information.
  •          Other layers such as SEIFA, building approvals and population forecasts can be viewed.
  •          Zoom in or out using your mouse, or the relevant  + or – keys.
  •          Change to Satellite view if you wish.
  •          Streetview is also available with “the little man”.

We look forward to your feedback, or let us know if you have any problems opening this.
