FAMILY FUN IN DOWNTOWN
This weekend, Downtown Pittsburgh is hopping (both figuratively and literally, at the Frog Stop Scavenger Hunt!) with activities for families of all ages.
This Thursday through Sunday, families can enjoy extraordinary and unique experiences for young people of all ages at the EQT Children's Theater Festival in Downtown's vibrant Cultural District. Live performances from professional, international artists engage children of all ages from different cultures and perspectives, along with over 40 free hands-on educational and cultural activities. Low-cost performances, outdoor pop-up events, a food truck festival, and more make this a destination for kids of all ages.
Before you arrive, get the scoop on family-friendly restaurants in Downtown, details on parking and alternative transportation options, accessibility, and more.
Plus, this Saturday, May 18, the PDP's weekly Saturday Night Market + Concert Series kicks-off another season from 5:00 - 10:00 p.m. in Market Square! Shop some of Pittsburgh's most creative independent vendors, enjoy the atmosphere of an open-air market, and listen to the newest jams on the City Paper Stage, presented this week by WYEP-FM's Reimagination Project. The Reimagination Project connects teen musicians with professional mentors to record and produce their own original music. This week's Saturday Night Market is supported by Green Mountain Energy.
Saturday Night Markets run weekly through October 26. Learn more about these free events, and RSVP on Facebook. |
