Spring @ The Olive Tree

A Fond Farewell
As most of you know our head Chef, Ade, is moving on to pastures new. Never before have my emotions been so split. Sad to see such a large character and wonderful chef leave, but delighted for him that he moves to a role that allows him family time at weekends and school holidays. I'm sure you will all join me in wishing him all the very best.

Introducing our new Head Chef

Alex left our sister pub, The Dog & Pheasant about 2.5 years ago having been Sous Chef, to join a 2 rosette restaurant in Dorset. Now ready for his first Head Chef role we are delighted to be welcoming him to The Olive Tree. Although he will be busy preparing new and exciting dishes I am sure he will find time to come out front and say hello.

In addition Ade's son, Liam, is moving up to junior Sous Chef to support Alex in all things food!

Please join me in wishing them the very best.

Pub Closure June 11 and 12

Due to essential work that needs to be done in our cellar we have taken the decision to close the pub all day Tuesday 11th June and for the afternoon of Wednesday 12th. Reopening Wednesday evening for dinner.
I am sorry for the inconvenience this will cause, but look forward to welcoming you back Wednesday evening.

Fathers Day Sunday June 16th

Come to the Olive Tree and treat Dad to one of our amazing Sunday roasts. Prime beef, succulent lamb, tender pork all from our local award winning butcher, Fulk Bros of Pirbright.
In addition if you click on the image, print it off and bring it along, Dad gets a free drink.
Choose from our draught beers, house wine, gins or even a malt to round off the occasion.

Fete after party!

Saturday 29th June is the Sutton Green Village fete.
Why not join us after for a cool drink (or three), food service until 9.30pm and weather permitting maybe a BBQ in the garden.

Lazy Sunny Afternoons!

We understand that The Olive Tree is probably not the first place you think of for having a garden. But as the evenings get longer and the temperature rises, your local is a great place to top up on your vitamin D.
This year we intend to make more of our garden with BBQs and hopefully some live music. Keep an eye on the notice boards inside the pub for notice of what's happening.
We look forward to seeing you over the coming months, at the end of the day you are what makes The Olive Tree such a great place to be and it's a pleasure to have you here.
