June is probably the favorite month of many of Eagle's younger residents. School is out and the future is full of bright, long summer days.

If you find that your youngsters have a bit too much free time on their hands, consider signing them up for Eagle Parks and Recreation camps, programs, or classes.

Take a look at our Summer Activity Guide and I guarantee you will find something constructive, productive or just plain fun for your kids to do this summer! From "Buggy for Bugs Camp" to "Star Wars Jedi Movie Making" there is a course or camp for all age groups and interests.

Last year the City of Eagle rebuilt Guerber Park and this year we will be rebuilding the playground and splash pad at Reed Merrill Park. A portion of the park will be closed for construction, but access to the greenbelt, restroom and all shelters will still be available. Please use caution when visiting the park.

Remember there are many activities available for adults too, please check the activity guide for details.

If you happen to be by in the neighborhood of the Ada/Eagle Bike Park stop by the Fire-Wide Garden. It is beautiful this time of year.

The exhibition was a collaboration of thirty-eight Treasure Valley Artists and no art piece was larger than 12”x12”. The art was juried by artist Mark McGinnis. There was a marvelous amount of talent showcased. The art featured in the video received awards, honorable mentions, and the Mayor's Choice Award.

The City of Eagle is proud to announce a name change for the former Eagle Historical Museum. From now on the museum will be called the Eagle Museum of History and Preservation.
The name change is part of an effort to unify historic preservation efforts in Eagle by bringing the Historic Preservation Commission under the umbrella of the museum. The organizational change will allow the Historic Preservation Commission and Eagle Museum of History and Preservation to work more efficiently together to protect and promote Eagle’s history.
