Last Wednesday, we teamed up with Healthyish and Broccoli Magazine to host a Future of Women NYC breakfast with 2019 James Beard Semifinalist Chef Kyo Pang and restauranteur Moonlynn Tsai at Kopitiam.
We enjoyed Milo french toast, Nasi Lemak, and Kuih Lapis as Julia Kramer, Deputy Editor of Bon Appétit, moderated a panel on the intersection of food and cannabis culture. Julia spoke with panelists Mary Pryor of Cannaclusive, a collective focused on inclusion in the cannabis industry, Olivia Harris of LEVO, a patented kitchen appliance designed for creating herbal infused oil, butter, and honey for cooking and skincare, Charlotte Palermino of Nice Paper, a high-design publishing platform that makes weed as nice as you are, and Shanelly Pena of Higher Dining, a brand that represents luxe dining and smoker-centric experience.
Special thanks to all our women-founded CBD partners: Sweet Reason, CBD-infused sparkling water made to help you slow down, relax, and pursue a life well-lived; Vertly, handcrafted CBD-infused clean skincare; GO BASIC, CBD edibles; Potli, the premium purveyor for the modern, CBD-enhanced kitchen pantry; Fine Healing Goods, a line of full-spectrum hemp healing goods; LEVO, a patented kitchen appliance designed for creating herbal infused oil, butter, and honey for cooking and skincare; and Come Back Daily, a curated CDB space to educate the public and shape cannabis policy.

Our Community

The Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard recently announced their new class of Nieman Fellows and we were thrilled to see Future of Women speaker Nour Malas among those selected!

In March 2018, we had the pleasure of hosting a Future of Women breakfast with Nour. Nour shared with us her experience as a Wall Street Journal foreign correspondent in the Middle East covering the conflicts in Syria and Iraq, the rise of and battle against Islamic State, and the region’s refugee crisis, as well as business, culture, and society in the broader Arab world.

Nour, congrats on an incredible accomplishment. Wishing you lots of luck as you continue to do important work, gathering facts and giving voice to others, often vulnerable communities under threat or at war.

You can find Nour's writing as part of a recent collection of essays by Arab women reporting from the Arab world, Our Women On The Ground, edited by Zahra Hankir with foreward by CNN Chief International Anchor Christiane Amanpour.
