POWER FROM THE SUN

After winning the AGF International Award for Power
, our dream is to encourage more events to move to genuinely clean, green energy.

Here on the Powerful Thinking website we offer some tips and bust some myths:
Sustainable Festival Power: Dream or Reality?

On site at the REsource Hub volunteers will be sharing their knowledge of energy generation, energy storage and DC electrics; pop in for a chat, browse the library, or book a one-to-one clinic session and get your alt tech dilemmas resolved!

For renewable energy consultancy at other times Horizon Installations may be able to help; email hello@horizon-installations.co.uk (consultant fees will apply)
LOVE and GRIEF

Some of us have been very involved in Extinction Rebellion over recent months and in the heart of that movement there's deep love and grief for the earth and its biodiversity. This will be reflected on site in the Sacred Activist Sanctuary.

We're also grieving for lost members of the GG family.

Sean Moran, stalwart campfire keeper of our Permaculture Community, passed away unexpectedly on 21st March. Our hearts go out to his family. Sean was an exceptionally kind and generous man who touched the lives of many. We miss him.

Orla Bee, a creative and courageous young woman, a trader of colourful handmade wares, also died this Spring - peacefully, after many years of pain. Her lovely mum Rebecca will be at GG with the Orla Bee stall to sell off the last of Orla's stock to raise funds for a CRPS (complex regional pain syndrome) charity.

Orla Bee. Her tenacity was legendary.

We truly believe The Green Gathering is the BEST value festival around...
The Green Gathering is a festival and a community; an immersive, interactive showcase of skill sharing, creative solutions and off grid living... all powered by wind, sun, people and passion.

It's a festival beyond hedonism for people who love the earth enough to celebrate and save it; a place to party - then wake up and put the world to rights!

With an authentically uncommercial, family friendly and transformative experience, we aim to turn people on to community building, co-operation and
low impact solutions.
The festival is produced by Optimistic Trout Productions, a Community Interest Company, and commissioned by the Green Gathering charity (no. 1156593).

Use this link to switch to clean renewable energy with Ecotricity and we'll receive up to £60 towards making the festival even better, at no extra cost to you.
The Green Gathering has received funding from the Welsh Government, in recognition of the positive impact we bring to Chepstow and beyond.
This will help the festival become increasingly sustainable both financially and environmentally, while providing festival goers with a stepping stone into the fabulous countryside and culture of Wales.
