Web only: High variety in Wellington West

KT contributor Hollie Grace James brings us a look at one of the newest additions to the Wellington West streetscape: Superette. Have you been to this cannabis retail outlet? We'd love to hear your impressions. Send your thoughts and feedback to editor@kitchissippi.com and you may see it in the next issue.

A top item on our website this week (so far)

We ran out of space to print this letter to the editor in the May edition of KT but it's getting traction online this week."If you are walking on the northwest side of Kirkwood Avenue from Hampton Park plaza it is very important you keep an eye out for vehicles leaving 634 Kirkwood Ave. You have a high chance of losing your legs or your life by being squished between a vehicle and a hydro pole," writes John Dozois.

A health update from Jeff Leiper

Coun. Jeff Leiper sat down with KT to talk about life as a heart attack survivor and he needs your help! We've asked KT readers to share their tips for healthy living with us (a few of you have even sent some really good recipes!) and we're in the process of collecting them for Jeff. We will be passing them along and printing our favourites in the next issue. Keep 'em coming! Send yours to editor@kitchissippi.com.

Cube Gallery closes its doors

Our cover story for the May issue was about the closing of Cube Gallery. Many friends and neighbours were sad to see them go but we also look forward to seeing what comes next.

What does the future hold for the SJAM Winter Trail?

Dave Adams, a.k.a. Groomer Dave, penned a "summary of the season" for the latest issue of KT. (We love that he wore a tie under his neon work coveralls for the photoshoot. He's all business in the summer, after all!) Here's the thing: The Winter Trail has proven itself to be immensely popular but there are some challenges ahead. Read all about it right here.

Who Lives Here

If you're a fan of Pub Italia you'll enjoy our latest Who Lives Here feature! Joe Cotroneo is known for his Preston Street-area pub and his new Italian Moto Museum. (You have to see it to believe it.) Joe and his spouse, Rosemary, are also the owners of a rarity in Kitchissippi: a bungalow! It's very vintage, and modern at the same time. Have a look inside. Don't miss the extra photos in the web edition of this story!
