Recently, the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP) has endorsed MedicAlert’s Connect Protect Program “as a valuable tool to help the police deal with missing person cases” including incidents of going missing for people living with dementia. The Connect Protect program is currently being used by 12 police services in Ontario, helping persons living with dementia who may get lost or confused to get home safely.
