Don't forget to read the BID2 proposal
As you are probably aware, earlier this week we published the proposal for a second 5 year term for the Northwich Business Improvement District.

Setting out why businesses should back the BID and vote YES, the proposal outlines what has been achieved since 2014 and also reveals what the BID plans to deliver going forward.
Ballot papers will be sent out on or after the 30th May 2019. The ballot will close at 5pm on 27th June 2019. The result of the ballot will be declared on the 28th June or as soon as possible after that date.

If the BID is successful at ballot, the BID will commence on 1st September 2019 and run until 31st August 2024. If the BID is unsuccessful at the ballot, the BID will end on 31st August 2019.

Ahead of the vote, the BID has also spoken to a number of business owners. Check out the video now and see what they have had to say about the BID!

New businesses aiming to help Northwich get fit and healthy
Two new businesses have opened in Northwich aimed at helping people improve their fitness levels and nutrition.

Kay-Leigh Richardson and John Fielding, who both live in the town, have opened Nutrition @ The Hangout and The Hangout NW at Unit 1 in Ash Street, with the goal of helping as many people as possible towards a better physical future.
Kay-Leigh has explained what the businesses offer and how people will benefit from using them.

“The aim of Nutrition @ The Hangout is to help people understand nutrition and the composition of their body and provides an opportunity to learn and alter their path to a longer and healthier life. The Hangout NW on the other hand is a Calisthenics gym where we promote Body Weight Training,” said Kay-Leigh.

“It also helps people to continually evolve in their range of movement, strength, flexibility and belief in physical capabilities.”
She has also revealed how herself and John have honed their skills in the fitness sector over recent years which has provided the perfect platform to launch the two new businesses.

Plans for the Northwich Festival of Arts 2019 gathering pace
Creativity, colour and artistry will take centre stage in Northwich again this year when the Festival of Arts returns throughout July.

The Northwich Business Improvement District (BID), who are the main event organisers, are currently finalising the line-up, timings and locations ahead of the month-long festival which celebrates the work of talented individuals, groups and organisations in the area.

Attendees can look forward to workshops and focused sessions across a range of artistic mediums including felting, poetry, watercolouring, mosaics, sketching, sculpting, singing and painting, while there will be a number of exhibitions running for the entire month.
Visual Arts Cheshire will be running a gallery in Barons Quay, Radiate Arts will be exhibiting workshop pieces in Obeid Galleries and Northwich Library will host a collection of art and artefacts to mark the 100th anniversary of Sir John Brunner’s death and the impact he had on this area.

The festival also comprises a series of other events which are set to once again draw crowds into the town centre.
These start on Saturday 6th July with the Northwich Carnival which is then followed by Northwich Scooter Day on Sunday 7th, the Northwich Artisan Market the Saturday after, the Northwich River Festival on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th and Northwich Art Shop’s Grand Day Out on Saturday 27th July.

In due course the Northwich BID will release marketing materials for the event including an official guide. For more information about specific sessions taking place throughout the festival, head to the What’s On section on the Visit Northwich website and click through to July.
