The Risen One Inspires Us To Love
5th Sunday of Easter

Music from the Masters . . . motivational speakers . . . Chicken Soup for the Soul—people look for a boost from many sources. But one need only look to the risen Savior. He inspires us not through soothing songs or moving stories, but through his perfect life and sacrificial death. Our risen Lord energizes us to live lives of love.

This week's readings:
1 Samuel 20:12-17
1 Corinthians 13:1-13
John 13:31-35

NEW Sunday Morning Bible Study

King David is one of the most well-known figures in the Old Testament. David and Goliath and David and Bathsheba are stories many know from their youth. This Bible study will cover the life of King David with a focus on the people the Lord brought into David’s life. Each of these people played a role in how God shaped David’s spiritual life so he could serve as Israel’s king, a prophet who wrote many psalms, and a priest who led the people in their worship life.
As we watch how the Lord used the people in David’s life, we are encouraged to think about the people Jesus has brought into our lives and how he has blessed us through them. We are also led to consider the roles we play in the lives of those around us, especially our fellow believers.

This week we'll continue our look at: Samuel

God be with you, Ethan!
What a great day!

RMCC
Rocky Mountain Christian Camp (RMCC), located in Leadville, Colorado gives our young people an opportunity for Christian fellowship with others of their same faith. RMCC aims to assist youth in their spiritual growth while offering them a unique camping experience in the Rocky Mountains.  The camp is attended by youth from all over, including New Mexico, Utah, Nebraska, Colorado and Wyoming.
This year RMCC will be July 13th-20th.  Youth entering 6th grade thru 9th grade are eligible to attend as campers.  Older teens entering 10th grade thru 12th grade may serve as Junior Counselors, provided they have attended RMCC in the past. If the maximum number of campers or JCs is reached, registrants will be put on a waiting list (56 boy campers, 56 girl campers, 24 girl JCs, 24 boy JCs).
The cost is $150 per person (includes all food & tents).  For more information and to register ONLINE see: http://www.rmcc-wels.com.
Every Member Visits
You are supposed to visit your dentist every 6 months and your physician regularly. It only makes sense that you'd spend some time with your pastor too. A good shepherd knows his sheep.  I care about you and I want to know how you're doing. Please sign up for an appointment below.  I am asking for no more than an hour. We will meet at church for about 45 minutes.  My goal is to meet with 100% of confirmed Living Savior members in the next 2 months. Thank you for taking the time!
Schedule a time HERE (there will also be a sign-up sheet at church)

Don't forget to pray for the work we are able to do together as part of the WELS (Wisconsin Ev. Lutheran Synod). Here is a suggestion:
  • WELS Hymnal Project – “Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things!” Dear Lord, we thank you for the privilege of singing your praises for all the blessings you’ve bestowed upon us. With eager anticipation, we look forward to the release of the new WELS hymnal. Continue to be with those working on this project and bless the plans to introduce it to congregations in the years prior to its release. Amen.
