Tarot Card of the Month ~ The Six of Swords
For those who are reading this newsletter for the first time, every month I discuss the tarot card that has appeared the most in the month's tarot readings. Even though the cards will always have individual significance, a commonly occurring card can also have a say about what's going on for the whole community.
The Six of Swords: a journey, a boat, some swords. The images may not encourage enthusiasm, but nonetheless, there they are. With this card we are on a journey because we simply must move. There are no promises of what lies at the end of our quest, but perhaps we can learn to detach from the outcome and just allow life to flow on, with all its challenges and all its joys.
With the Six of Swords we may ask ourselves what we stand for and what we want to be known for. From there we go forth into the night, ready to deal with whatever may occur. Yes, we may hope for the best, but we will have the vigour and versatility to deal with any less-than-ideal situations as they occur. This card need not make us feel low. It could very well encourage our bravery and sense of adventure as we move into a new stage of our lives.
And now to hear from four different Six of Swords cards from my personal tarot collection:
The Six of Knives from the Slow Holler Tarot by the Slow Holler Collective says, "Be courageous on your quest, and be attentive to the seemingly small journeys. A trip to the mailbox could hold life-changing implications, so be mindful and curious as you venture forth on trips both big and small."
The Six of Swords from the Pagan Otherworlds Tarot by Uusi says, "Bring an intention to the journey and be ready to drop it if it doesn't fit with what comes next. Be balanced in your approach so that if you do relinquish your strategy, you know it will be out of necessity, not fear."
The Six of Swords from the Next World Tarot by Cristy C. Road says, "Revel in the solo journey and trust that you will meet with kin when the time is right. Don't wait for others to do what you desire. Have enough faith in yourself to manifest the next part of your life as your own story, of your own making."
The Six of Swords from Tarot de St. Croix by Lisa de St. Croix says, "Hold onto a vision that there could be easier times ahead. Of course, this cannot be guaranteed, but if you hold your vision wisely it will nourish you as you move forward, rather than clouding your judgement. Be astute as to where you place your faith!"
Until next month,
Best wishes,
Sarah Barry (Psychic Sarah)
P.S Want more tarot stories? I post a Tarot Reading for the Collective on my website every month. This month I used Le Grande Circus & Sideshow Tarot by Joe Lee
This month's questions are:
What will help us strengthen our friendships?
How should we approach our collective future?
How can we better face our fears?
What do we need to consider as we look at our relationship with community?
Read on for the responses, and please let me know what you think. I love to receive feedback.
[I usually post the Tarot Reading for the Collective in the first half of every month, sometimes later... but it does happen every month!]
