God provides for all of our needs. As someone in ministry it's quite the faith journey knowing each paycheck is God's provision. He uses people just like you to provide for those of us in ministry. It's a journey- and I've heard people say they wouldn't be able to do it. We live every month knowing God will provide but sometimes wondering how He is going to do it. We try and be good stewards of what He has given us.
There's a blessing in it too. There have been times in ministry when we have seen the hands of God through individuals who have provided in random and really cool ways. From Tickets to an IMAX movie, a freezer full of meat, to new Nike's for our kids- we have been blessed from members of God's church and it's a HUGE encouragement to us while we are doing God's work.
Friend please be praying for us that we would once again see God's hand of provision for a specific need. We have been working at paying off Rachel's surgery this past December. There is still $683 left owing for all those costs. God has been graciously providing for all the rest of our bills and we are amazed by the amount that has been paid off so far.
A couple of weeks ago we had a roofer over to look at out 7 year old roof. Before we bought the house 3 years ago when they put the new roof on- they didn't to it properly which has caused a number of small leaks which over time has begun to cause minor damage to the inside of our house. It will cost roughly $2400 to get the roof repaired (not including inside damage costs) and we have opted to wait a couple of months because we don't have the extra cash in hand to complete the job. An Insurance Claim isn't an option because it was a faulty install job (and of course since we weren't the owners at the time we can't go back to the company who did it and get them to make it right.)
Would you please be praying that God would cover these extra costs (the remainder of Rachel's medical bills and the roof cost) by the end of August? God is a big God and we know He can do it.
