As you may remember, we announced appointment only service work over the winter.  Most clients have really appreciated the benefit it has offered them through the spring; we schedule the appointment in advance and then they usually get their bike back in 1-2 days.  Previously, some clients had to wait weeks for unscheduled repair work. 
 
This being said, we have heard some confusion over what working by appointment means for you.  With this in mind, we'll start with what has changed.  


What Has Changed:

  • We often can't provide on the spot repairs or 1-2 day turnaround on tune-ups and other service work that is unscheduled.  We highly recommend contacting us in advance to schedule service work to avoid having to leave your bike for weeks during the busy season. 

What Hasn't Changed:

  • Providing 1-2 day turnaround on scheduled service work whenever possible.
  • Our commitment to the folks who believe-in and support what we do.
  • We are here to answer questions and to help you and your bike work as well as possible together.  From an available hours perspective, during the cycling season, we're here at least as frequently as we always have been.
  • We want to earn your business.  We fit bikes; we service bikes; we sell bikes and cycling equipment.
  • We believe in the value of one-on-one service and aim to provide the best service that we can.  We continue to modify our operations to try to support this goal as best as possible in an industry that is seasonal and changing.  Service appointments help us do the best we can for you.
  • We employ career based employees who are passionate about bikes, learning and sharing.
  • While there are seasonal demands, our goal remains to minimize your time without your bike. Appointments do this.

Summary:  


If you are used to emailing and/or calling ahead before coming in, you will not notice any difference in how we are operating.  Keep doing what you have always done.  If you are used to walking in, please contact us in advance as we want to be able to serve you as well as possible.  Scheduling service helps us help you better.
