Public notice (to be published in the Honolulu Star-Advertiser 5/29/19)

The Hawaii Department of Health (DOH) is soliciting public comment on a draft permit for an underground storage tank (UST) system operated by Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center Pearl Harbor at Red Hill-Aiea and Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii.  The UST system to be permitted includes field-constructed fuel storage and surge tanks at the Red Hill Bulk Fuel Storage Facility, product recovery tanks associated with Hickam airfield piping, airfield piping and hydrants, and other associated piping. The permit would allow the Navy to operate the UST system in accordance with chapter 342L, Hawaii Revised Statues, and chapter 11-280.1, Hawaii Administrative Rules.

The permit application and draft permit are available at health.hawaii.gov/shwb/ust-red-hill-project-main and:
