An historic farm, mainly specializing in the production of fine wine (18 hectares of vines). The micro-climate and exposure are perfect for producing the farm’s full bodied wines, which are sold all over the world and have won awards and recognitions from some of the finest sector periodicals, such as Wine Spectator and Decanter. From the hills of eastern Friuli (Colli Orientali) in the northeastern corner of Italy, wedged between Slovenia and Austria, come these graceful wines from one of the most prestigious wine-producing regions in Italy. Friuli is especially known for producing interesting, regional varietals, and using the latest technology in the winery. Colutta, a family-run winery for three generations, represents the highest standards of the region by adopting the most updated cultivating techniques on their hillside vineyards, including severe pruning and manual harvesting. The owner/winemaker Giorgio Colutta and his wife continue the family tradition by infusing regional distinctiveness in their wines while striving to produce the very best wines from Friuli.

Giorgio will be here Thursday June 13th from 5:30 until 7pm. This is your opportunity to meet the owner and the wine maker and of course, sample his wines. We are still deciding which ones we will be pouring, as soon as we do that, we'll pass it on!
