Reaching Out Online

Hello everyone! I hope this email finds you well.

I am now using Facebook and Instagram to show and discuss my day-to-day art practice. It has been interesting to connect with others and receive feedback ...from across the world!  If you would like to join in, you can find me at:

I have also joined the Saatchi Art website to sell my available work online.  Do have a look via the following link:

Current Work and Reflections

Aside from a few outdoor painting jaunts, most of my creative work this year has been directed to developing a series of prints, drawings and paintings inspired by my time in hospital last year.  Wanting to communicate something of my experience, and to pay tribute to the staff that cared for me in hospital, I continue to work on a number of figurative compositions for future exhibitions. Below you will find two of my recent hospital prints together with written compositions.

We are all conscious of the extraordinary situation in which the UK finds itself at present. I have taken the liberty of including a couple of personal reflections with this email.

Painting Trip to the Ridgeway

Earlier this year I had a trip out to the Ridgeway near Chiseldon, just south of Swindon. The view I painted later formed part of the Swire-Ridgeway Open Exhibition in Uffington, Oxfordshire. Click the link below to read more about the creation of this painting.

St Barnabas' Open Day

For anyone who missed the talk I gave last year, I am planning to give a few informal tours of our local church on Saturday 15 June at various times between 11.00 and 3.30pm as part of our Open Day. One highlight is the mural paintings of 1946-48 by Jean/ 'John' Perret, a French-born priest and self-taught artist whose work features St Barnabas and St Paul striding across the Mediterranean to reach the gas works and factories of 1940s Swindon!

New website and Email Address

You may have noticed that I am using a new email and website address.  My previous addresses all remain valid, but for consistency I have adopted ‘davidrobinsonartist’ as my main identity!
