A busy time for the Centre...
Last month we were particularly fortunate to gain some sizeable grants which will assist us in updating some of our facilities with new BBQs and our conference facilities with a new PA and sound system. The front desk will also gain a new computer and the kitchen some well needed equipment... Thanks to all for your generous donations!
Our annual remembrance ceremony to draw attention to the continuing plague of domestic violence and to honour past victims will be held this Thursday in Tesch Park. We also hope that Tesch Park will be the location for a new venture by the Maleny Wellbeing Group to support those in particular in our community who might be feeling lonely or isolated – more below.

I returned to Maleny five years ago after being away for ten years. I am a retired registered nurse and have spent most of my career in operating theatres, ICU and contracting to rural and remote hospitals. I have an immense passion for caring for people and in their welfare.
Not wanting to return to nursing, I became a volunteer at MNC, and in my short time here I have been overwhelmed by everyone’s compassion and commitment. We have the same objective to help others, which is very rewarding.
My favourite pastimes are gardening, cooking, knitting and getting plenty of sunshine! If you haven’t considered it yet, try being a volunteer and reap the pleasures of being with ‘like minded’ people.
