Welcome to the end of May - long evenings, exploding forests and growing gardens.

I absolutely LOVE this time of year.  The Earth is singing Her song and sharing her abundance with us.  My prayer is that we can slow down enough, today, to notice and listen to her.  And, to behold her Beauty, and in our own unique and powerful ways, give back.  It is always nice to share, through this avenue, my offerings through yoga and meditation as well as my current inspirations.  I am so very thankful and humbled that you are here and interested in following along.

Thank you to the incredibly supportive and willing women that joined our circle for my 3rd Women’s retreat in April - Quiet Awakening.  Here are a few photos captured by my dear friend and brilliant photographer Reannan of some of the magic that unfolded.  Please save the date for my next retreat, which I am co-hosting again this Fall with Earth-mama Melissa Donohoe - Nov 8-10th at the Sea to Sky Retreat Centre.

Yes - it’s true!  Many of you have asked if I will be offering these outdoor classes again this year, and I am thrilled to say YES.  I will update my website weekly with class days, times and locations - as well as post them all to my social media accounts (you can find those at the bottom of this newsletter).  There will be a few ‘pop-ups’ throughout the month of June and then regular weekly classes for July and August.
How surely gravity’s law,
strong as an ocean current,
takes hold of even the smallest thing
and pulls it toward the heart of the world.

Each thing --
each stone, blossom, child --
is held in place.
Only we, in our arrogance,
push out beyond what we each belong to
for some empty freedom.

If we surrendered
to earth’s intelligence
we could rise up rooted, like trees.
Instead we entangle ourselves
in knots of our own making
and struggle, lonely and confused.

So, like children, we begin again
to learn from the things,
because they are in God’s heart;
they have never left.

This is what the things can teach us:
to fall,
patiently to trust our heaviness.
Even a bird has to do that
before he can fly.

Malas - an exciting announcement :)

I have always been a crafter.  I am so happy creating with my hands.  In the dark winter months I was quite sick, and in my fevered state of not-sleeping I had a very vivid dreams that both of my grandmothers were reminding me that they gave me their pearls.  I woke up and had the sudden need to find them.  So, I started tearing apart the cupboards in my washroom.  I found them - 2 beautiful strands of pearls, left to me by both my maternal and paternal grandmothers.  I then felt some sort of guilt about having them stuffed in a box underneath my sink.  Then I went back to sleep.

Once I recovered from my illness I was called back to the pearls and one of the strands broke in my hands.  I wanted to honour these beautiful pearls and my beautiful grandmothers, so I decided to learn how to string a mala (prayer beads).  Quickly, my love affair began.  And now, I cannot stop stringing them.  The process of mantra and meditation that leads me to their creation is really exciting, and the medicine I need right now.  Each mala feels like a living entity.  I have decided to sell my malas.  50% of the profits from each mala I sell will be donated to a non-profit organization that gives voice and protection to Mother Earth and Indigenous Rights.

I am also available to host and teach mala-making workshops.  And my total jam is working with you to create a custom mala for yourself or someone you love.  Please reach out if you’re interested in knowing more about malas and how they can be used as a part of your personal meditation practice, if you would like to purchase one, or if you would like to work together to customize one.
Yes - tell me more!
