A New Day Dawns: From Physical to Spiritual

The homeless man on the park bench. The single mother trying desperately to raise her kids. The person desperately fighting terrible illness. We can find people in desperate need all around us. But there is a much less obvious and far more important need that everyone has - the need for a Savior - and God has given you exactly the treatment that so many desperately need. May God move our hearts to share this spiritual treatment with all who need to hear it! Worship at St. John's this weekend features a sermon based on Acts 16:6-10 (First Lesson).

Readings to prepare for worship:
Acts 16:6-10 - The Holy Spirit directed Paul to proclaim the gospel in Macedonia.
Romans 15:14-20 - Through the power of the Holy Spirit, Paul proclaimed the gospel to the Gentiles.
John 17:20-26 - Jesus prays for unity among believers that they might proclaim the gospel to the world.

God's blessings on your weekend! See you at worship!

Finishing Strong
June Council Project of the Month

We are coming to the end of our annual ministry plan (budget) which closes on June 30. Just like a race, our goal is to finish the current budget year strong. Our church, school, and childcare programs are all unified under one ministry plan, and your financial support helps to ensure the strength of all our work here at St. John’s! To contribute to this project and help us finish strong, please use a green Above & Beyond envelope and label it “Council Project” or “Finish Strong.” Make checks payable to St. John’s.
Summer Bible Study & Sunday School
Sundays Beginning June 2
Bible study continues through summer! Our summer Bible study and Sunday school begin this Sunday (no class on July 7). Please join us at 9:15 a.m. for “Your Questions and God’s Answers,” led by the pastoral staff in the Fellowship Hall. Questions can still be submitted online by clicking here. Children ages 3-9 are invited to summer Sunday school in the school commons. Older grade school students and teens are encouraged to attend adult Bible study or assist in the nursery or at Sunday school.
Voters' Meeting
Tuesday, June 4

A voters’ meeting to approve the proposed annual ministry plan (budget) will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. All voters and interested parties are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Strategic Planning Online Survey
Through Sunday, June 9

Thank you to everyone who attended a strategic planning listening session! An online survey is now available for those who weren’t able to attend or who have additional thoughts and ideas to share. The survey should take no more than five minutes to complete and will remain open through Sunday, June 9. Click here to take the survey.
