Many thanks to those of you who came along to support our children at the speech competition yesterday. The weather was miserable and my timing was off, but the rest of the day was a great success with so many children showing wonderful growth in their speech delivery and content.  Well done to you all.  In particular, well done to the following students who were stand outs on the day.

Wig Wednesday
Wednesday 19th June
We are very excited to be taking part in ‘Wig Wednesday’ on the 19th June to raise funds for Kiwi kids with cancer.
It’s easy to take part - just wear a wig to school on the day and bring a donation for the Child Cancer Foundation.
If your child does not have a wig then you are welcome to make a wig using the template from the Wig Wednesday website.
 
Kapahaka
The senior students will be attending Kapahaka next Friday (7th June).  Please check the roster to see if it is your turn as parent help.
 
Skiing
The first day of our school skiing programme will be Tuesday 30th July and will run for 5 weeks (30th July, 6th Aug, 13th Aug, 20th Aug and 27th Aug).  We will finish school at 11:45am so the children can change into their gear and be ready to depart school at midday.  
Please check your child's bag today for a parent roster (Year 3-6 parents) and general information.  Parents with students in both junior and senior classes are not on the roster as they will be on duty and supervision each week.

Assembly
The next assembly will be hosted by the senior students on Monday 17th June.
