SAS Track & Field Day
Thursday, May 30th at NCHS Track
9:00AM - 2:00PM
  • Please drop kids off at school at the normal time (classes begin at 8AM). If you are interested in driving students to NCHS, please contact your child's teacher directly. Note: Grades 5th - 8th will be walking from SAS to the track at NCHS.
  • Please send your child with appropriate gear... SUNSCREEN (Please apply BEFORE school and send for reapplication),  A HAT, WATER BOTTLE (Labeled with your child's name), appropriate layers for the weather (sweats, jackets. etc.)
  • View the day's schedule at THIS LINK (excel file). PLEASE be aware, this schedule is tentative. We are hoping to run as close to the outlined times as possible. However, similar to MS & HS track meets, there are often unforeseen complications that can impact the schedule. 
  • Lunch break for all grades is set for 11:30AM - 12:00PM
  • ALL STUDENTS WILL NEED A SACK LUNCH. If this is an issue for your family, please contact the office so our kitchen can make arrangements for your child to have a sack lunch. 
  • IN THE CASE OF INCLEMENT WEATHER we will cancel track day and host a regular school day at SAS. We will not reschedule due to a lack of availability of the track. 
  • A note about the concession stand... NCHS Boosters are planning to man the concession stand. SAS does not have any control over this decision. We will be telling our students the concession stand is for adults and spectators. PLEASE DO NOT SEND MONEY for the concession stand with your student. Due to scheduling, safety, and logistics it has been decided students will not be allowed to visit the concession stand. If a parent chooses to purchase items and share with his/her student, we understand. However, we encourage spectators and parents to refrain from interrupting events to deliver/share concession snacks etc. Thank you for understanding!
  • The day of the event, please use the INFO TENT  for details about the day's schedule. Our nurse and first aid station will also be housed at this location. 
  • Reminder that if you take your child from the event, please "check out" with BOTH your child's teacher AND at the INFO TENT. You will need to sign at both locations. This is a safety precaution. 
  • Preschool parents, please check with your child's teacher for details about drop off, pick up, and your child's class schedule as it relates to track day.
