Feed Our Kids is a program of GRACE which provides lunches for area children from low-income families who qualify for free or reduced lunches at school and depend on GRACE for lunches in the summer when school is out. This year Abiding Grace will again provide more than 1,000 lunches over two weeks: next week, June 3-7, led by Pete Etheredge, and June 17-21, led by Lori Anderson. Members can help by preparing and serving lunches and/or providing baked goods for the lunches. Sign up now at the Outreach kiosk. For more information, see Lori Anderson or Pete Etheredge.

Cooking oil. The GRACE Food Pantry has expanded its coverage and now averages over 30 families per day. All families need cooking oil, and the Outreach Committee is having a cooking oil drive during the month of June to help cover this increase. Please help by donating 48 oz. bottles of any type of cooking oil—consider increasing your current donations of cooking oil, if you can. Our goal for June is 225 bottles. Watch the number of donations grow!

Swing Set Bake Sale. Have you noticed the kids enjoying themselves on that old, rickety wooden swing set? Concerned for safety, we would like to replace it with a commercial grade set with a cost of about $3,100. To help raise funds, there will be a bake sale on Sunday, June 16, at 11:00 a.m. A member has agreed to match all donations up to a total of $1,500. You can sign up to bring items for the sale at the Fellowship kiosk.

Congregational meeting. A semi-annual meeting of the congregation will be held on Sunday, June 23, immediately after worship. Among items on the agenda are election of new Church Council members and approval of the FY 2020 budget. Please plan to attend this important meeting.
