Trip : Ironbridge
Thursday 30th May 08:15 - 18:30
Please note the earlier start time to make sure that we can get away promptly and off to Ironbridge. The pitch at Lymm Rugby Club is being re-laid and there will be contractors vehicles where we normally park. Please drive past the clubhouse and through some gates to extra parking. There should be someone on hand to guide you.
You will get an information pack on the coach. Please arrange your own refreshments and lunch. There are various places to eat (none of which are big enough to take all of us at once) and also picnic benches if you want to take lunch.
In the morning you will wander round Blists Hill Museum at your own pace. In the afternoon the coach will take us to the bridge itself and we will receive a short talk (in English and French) about the history of the town. After that there will be a chance to visit the Museum of the Gorge before we catch the final coach trip home.

Lymm Heritage Centre
Wednesday Afternoon , 29th May
John Bamforth has arranged for the Centre to open especially for us on Wednesday afternoon. It's normally open Thursday to Sunday.
A volunteer there has offered to give a talk on the importance of the canals and fustian cutting in the development of Lymm (in English but hopefully with a translation by John's guests).
Please contact John Bamforth ( johnbamforth@btinternet.com ) directly if you are interested. If there is enough interest then John will organise a second tour.

Help with the Stall at the Lymm Festival
Thursday, 20th June
The Food Festival is on Thursday, 20th June. If we host a stall at this event then we increase our visibility to the people of Lymm and the local Councillors who approve our grant to help with hosting the French. Last year we acquired two people as a result of the stall. So we should host a stall if we can.
Unfortunately most of the current committee are on holiday on that day. Can anyone offer to help Mark and Pat. They could use help setting up, running the stall and tidying away at the end. You need not be present for the whole evening.
