Local historian to be honored with bronze IPPY

Author Mark Goldman Wins National Award

We're celebrating! Our very own author and historian Mark Goldman will receive a bronze IPPY in the biography category for Albright: The Life and Times of John J. Albright—less than two weeks after releasing his latest book Tillie, A New York City Girl: 1906-2001. Goldman will accept his IPPY (Independent Publisher Book) Award at a ceremony in Times Square in
New York City on Tuesday, May 28. Congratulations!

Book Expo America

The IPPY ceremony will kick off a three-day conference called Book Expo America—the largest conference for the publishing industry in the U.S.

We will spend the rest of the week in New York City learning from and networking with people from all over the country. And you know what we're most excited about? The opportunity to bring our Buffalo Heritage Press books with us and show everyone what a beautiful, culturally significant city Buffalo is—and to brag about how lucky we are to have such talented authors, photographers and illustrators in the Queen City!
