Did you know?
Friends of Main Street decorates Main Street each summer with beautiful hanging plants? Of course you do! But did you know they cost a considerable amount of money to purchase, to feed and to water? Each year this is accomplished by donations from dedicated residents and businesses. Won't you please consider helping? Help FOMS keep Winsted beautiful! Send your donation to FOMS, P.O. Box 18, Winsted, CT 06098 and THANK YOU!!!

NCCC is considering hosting a German student here for the next academic year, through a program sponsored by the U.S. Congress and the German Bundestag. Students take courses here in the fall full-time and also participate in an internship in the spring semester. In order to participate, the College needs to find a host family to provide a room to the student. Host families get a stipend to cover costs. Students arrive in August and stay until this time next year. Host family does have to complete a questionnaire and have a home visit by the college. They get a stipend check and need to complete a W9.
If you are interested, and would like to find out more about hosting a student and what is involved email Dr. Rooke at MRooke@nwcc.commnet.edu
