Music BC is pleased to announce Lindsay MacPherson as the new Executive Director. Lindsay has spent the past two and a half years as the Manager of Programs and Operations at Music BC and has over 10 years of experience within the local music industry working with Nettwerk Music Group, Newcap Radio, Boompa Records and Secret Study, working live events such as Squamish Valley Music Festival, Red Truck Concert Series and Shorefest.

RAISING THE BAR: Specialized Safety Training Summit for the Live Music Sector

The Canadian Live Music Association is pleased to announce a full day of Raising the Bar sessions designed to give live music industry stakeholders the tools to ensure that every music space is a safe place.

Register to attend on May 27, 2019, from 9-5 pm at The Imperial, in Vancouver, BC.

Vancouver's travelling street party is back, with the Laneway Disco series opener on June 1 in Alley Oop with DJs and dancers. 

Career Development 

Curtis Clear Sky & the Constellationz have just released their debut album, Indigifunk. Curtis Clear Sky was born and raised on Coast Salish territory - Vancouver BC. The record was recorded and co-produced by Kat Hendrix and released on the local Indigenous label, Dignified Records. The album is a mix of latin funk, soul, ska, reggae, and hip hop. Read more...

Vancouver artist Tariq released his new full length album Telegrams on March 29, 2019.  The album comprises 11 songs produced and recorded at  Afterlife Studios with John Raham and released on Vancouver label Tonic Records. Read more...
