Oh, hi friends!

I haven't worked on a play in awhile! With other people, I mean. I have taken a few classes and gotten feedback, and worked on one enough to submit it for the Pulitzer Prize (NEVER FORGET), but actually being in a room with actors and a director? It's been awhile.

And that's OK.

Because I needed to take those classes. Get that feedback. Get the gumption to submit. Do other things. I needed time to pass.

And even though it felt like too much time was passing, I knew that nagging voice in my head wasn't going to shut up, and I was eventually going to show back up. And maybe I would be rusty or maybe I would be smarter, but I knew I would show up when the timing was right. So here I am, showing up.

You can show up again too, for wherever you want to be. And won't it be nice to meet that version of yourself again?

Into the void.

"We are chasing checks off the list, without analyzing exactly what we're checking off, and if they have any effect on our long-term future or goals."

I wrote about turning your to-do list into an ABCDE list — and actually used the method this week. I found that when you get serious enough to label something an "A" task, it makes it a little less difficult to ignore.

What are your A tasks for today?
Mine are: Rehearsal, clear inbox, finish freelance story.

Falcon update! (Did you think I stopped watching? I did not stop watching.) Look how big! They are so grown now that Adele and Frank even leave them on their own. They're like teenagers. They certainly sleep enough. (Look at that lump.)

This is my reminder that you should watch them. That is all.
