CLASS LIST ORDER:

Classes and length of the day were addressed at the meeting Tuesday and the class list is updated for the June 2nd show to reflect our discussion. Please be sure to double check the order of the classes.

Visit our website, sunnysidesaddleclub.org to see the class list and patterns for the show (patterns uploaded soon). All of our forms are on our website, so you can download them and have them filled out in advance to bring to the entry booth the morning of the show.

If you pre-register online by 8 p.m. on Friday, May 31st, you will pay $4.50 per class instead of $4.95 per class. When you pre-register online, you still need to fill out an Entry Form and bring the completed form to the entry booth Sunday morning. Please also REUSE YOUR NUMBER for the season if possible. If this is your first show, we will issue you a number for the season.

TIE RAIL UPDATE:

Tie rails will be available to reserve online during your pre-registration. Due to a limited amount of tie rails at our show grounds, and to avoid exhibitors showing up before the property is open to procure a spot, we offer a first-come-first-serve online opportunity to reserve a tie rail for those who do not have a trailer to tie up to. The pre-registration and tie rail reservation form is available online and will be accepted no earlier than 6:00 am the Friday before the show**Tie rail reservations before 6 am will NOT be considered.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

JUMP & TRAIL SETUP + JUMP WARM-UP CLASS

If you or your child is entering a jumping or trail class please have someone in your group volunteer to help set up and break down the obstacles. We do not have a setup crew and are in need of parents, family, and friends to help get the jumping and trail classes ready for their riders to shine. Your time will be valid towards some of your volunteer hours or credits so you can be eligible for year-end awards.

NEW JUMP WARM-UP CLASS 👉  We are now providing a warm-up class for jumping. You must now register for the warm-up class at the June show and moving forward. WE WILL STILL BE PRELOADING WARM-UP RIDERS. Each rider will be allowed to go into the arena to practice the jump pattern, one horse and rider at a time. Once the rider in front of you is coming off their last fence the next rider will enter the arena and remain on the rail until the rider before them leaves the arena. We will provide a beginner and advanced warmup pattern, you may stray from the pattern but you may NOT mirror a judged class course.

As soon as the jumps are set up we will start the warmup class. Be ready to go!

NOTE: We always need adult volunteers to help monitor the gate during the show. Please let us know if you or someone you know can help.

Riders will get 1.5 minutes to warm up over fences. Three (3) refusals will be allowed. Time allowed over 1.5 minutes due to refusals will be at the show managers discretion.

FIRST PLACE PRIZES

First place prizes were brought up at the meeting and a comment was made informing the club that our prizes are not of value. We try our best to provide items that the youth and adult riders can find use in and which are practical for our sport, such as scissors, water bottles, colored duct tape, vet wrap, earbuds, electronic chargers, hanging hooks, riding socks, dry-erase boards, shampoos, combs, hoof picks and more.

Because the cost of our show is so low (only $4.50-$4.95 per class) we are humble with the amount that we spend on the first place prize bin to go along with the nice 1st place ribbons that we also purchase. (We have 39 classes per show so we can only invest so much on top of the ribbons.)

We did have a very successful sponsorship contest this year and will consider putting some of the funds towards slightly more expensive 1st place prizes (we are saving for the end-of-year awards banquet and hoping to offset some of the cost for our members to attend this year) but want to remind our riders that they can also choose to pass on their ribbon and get a raffle ticket for the end of show drawings where they will have a chance to win items with a higher dollar value that we also invest in.

The club is also VERY appreciative of donations. Please let us know if you would like to donate any 1st place prize items that would be of value to our riders and their four-legged partners.
Ribbon Buy Back Program

RIBBON BUY BACK PROGRAM

Turn in five of your gently used unmarked ribbons from past shows and seasons to a board member, at the meeting, or at lunchtime at the entry booth at the shows in exchange for a FREE SODA or FREE BAG OF CHIPS voucher redeemable at the Half Fast Cafe. Five (5) ribbons can be turned in for one (1) voucher for the season ribbons were donated back. Ribbons must be unmarked and in like-new condition in order to be accepted.

*If you bring ribbons to turn in at the show please do not bring them to the entry booth during the morning registration. We ask that during lunch you give the ribbons directly to a board member, ribbon buyback volunteer, or the show manager so we can take inventory, document the details and provide the voucher to you. Please do not put them into the ribbon bins on your own. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
