Starship fundraiser
On Friday the 31st of May there will be a mufti day to raise money for Starship Hospltal. Please bring a gold coin donation and give it to your classroom teacher on the day.

We have all felt the change in weather in the lst week. With the drop in temperature students need to wrap up warm, wear sweatshirts and jackets.

Danielle Kok from Gutter Kitties visited the school today with several playful kittens. Their first session was with Mrs Mackay's class Room 4. Marcella and Moby had a wonderful time with Room 4.
Marcella, Moby and the other kittens are available for adoption.

Teachers' Collective Agreement- teachers' strike Wednesday 29 May
Teachers across New Zealand voted overwhelmingly to NOT Accept the Government’s latest offer and are set to Strike on Wednesday 29 May. Should the strike go ahead Target Road School is likely to be closed as the majority of our staff are NZEI members. We have arranged for A+ to be open on the day and if you think you will need to use their services you will need to book your children in. Contact 443 5386.
LIBRARY FUNDRAISERS
The raffle tickets for the beautiful artwork donated by Shannan Blanchet are now on sale. Each ticket will cost $2.00 or 3 for $5.00. This is on display in the office foyer.
The second prize is a $50.00 Countdown voucher. Tickets will come home for you to purchase or you can buy them directly from the office. The raffle will be drawn on the last day of the term Friday 5 July.

PROPOSED ENROLMENT SCHEME Target Road Primary School Proposed Enrolment Scheme
The Target Road Primary School Board is in the process of implementing an enrolment scheme in conjunction with the Ministry of Education Under section 11H(1) of the Education Act 1989.
The proposed amendment to the zone can be viewed on the schools website www.target.school.nz/
All students who live in the home zone shall be entitled to enrol at the school.
All residential addresses on included sides of the boundary roads and no exit roads off included sides of the boundary roads are included in the zone unless otherwise stated.
Members of the community are invited to make comment regarding this proposed enrolment scheme amendment in writing to:

Walking School Bus
Walking School Bus:
Due to a change in the circumstances of one of our WSB leaders, we do not have a WSB operating on Thursday mornings at present.
If you know of anyone that might like to walk one morning a week on our WSB, please let us know urgently.
Till then: NO WALKING SCHOOL BUS ON THURSDAYS.
Every other day it is still operating as usual.

Game 2 report for the Taniwha’s
Last weekend the Year 5 Taniwha’s played off against Marina View Heat. The girls started strong and were quick to get an early lead. They played the ball well around the court and were accurate with their shooting. Final score was 19-1 to the Taniwha’s. Player of the day went to Brooke Taylor for excellent passing & getting into space.
