EVENING EXTRA: "THE EDUCATION PUZZLE"

Just what are "HCDE" and "SBOE"? How do they interact with HISD? How do they impact our children? The purpose of this meeting is to inform voters about how these three entities fit together and work to shape our children’s education. We are pleased to be joined by:
Trustee Holly María Flynn Vilaseca from Houston Independent School District,
Trustee Danyahel Norris from the Harris County Department of Education,
and Sharpstown Democrats board member Michelle Palmer who will speak about the role of the Texas State Board of Education.
The discussion will be moderated by public education warrior Sherrie Matula.

Thank you to everyone who came out for our first Canvassing for Community block walk of the 2020 cycle. We were able to reach out to so many people, and our 18 (!!!) volunteers had such a good time! Stay tuned for more upcoming canvasses.
