Vigil Weekend Recap
Over the weekend of June 8-9, our lodge bestowed the Vigil Honor on ten new youth and adult members. The gorgeous weather, tremendous service, and excellent fellowship made for a delightful weekend for all those in attendance. Read more on our blog!
Summer Induction Weekend
If you missed out on our Spring Induction Weekend, plan to attend our Summer Induction Weekend from August 23-25 at Beaumont Scout Reservation. More details to come.

If you completed your Ordeal last year, don't miss the opportunity to seal your membership in our Order by completing your Brotherhood over this weekend!

Summer Camp Inductions
If you or a Scout in your troop is not able to attend our August Summer Induction Weekend to complete his/her Ordeal, then check out the schedule of summer camp Ordeals. They are offered every week of camp and open to both those attending summer camp as well as those who are not.

We are also looking for Elangomats to serve each summer camp Ordeal. If you are interested and/or able to serve, email membership@erielhonan.org!

Finally, all Arrowmen are encouraged to attend the Ordeal ceremonies throughout summer camp. Gather at Augustus by 12:30pm on Fridays for the 12:45 ceremony.

Congratulations to Silver Antelope Recipient Ray Bartlett
At the National Annual Meeting in Denver in late May, Erielhonan Lodge Arrowman Ray Bartlett was presented the Silver Antelope award by the Central Region—the highest award granted by one of the four regions in the United States. Lodge Adviser Joe Wollet was also present to celebrate with Ray. On behalf of the entire lodge: congratulations, Ray!!

Members who haven't paid their 2019 dues are urged to do so immediately. Dues should have been paid by December 31, 2018, to remain in good standing with our Order (and be permitted to wear the lodge flap). As a reminder, members who joined in 2018 were dues-paid only through December 31 and must pay 2019 dues to stay current.

The requirements for the Active Arrowman Award have been updated for this year and are now available on our lodge website—check them out and make plans to earn the award this year!
NOAC 2020 is only 15 months away! If you've never been to a NOAC before—or can't wait to attend another one—mark your calendars. We are excited to return to Michigan State University on August 3-8, 2020.

NOAC is the biennial National Order of the Arrow Conference. Think of it like a national jamboree for Arrowmen. There are hundreds of activities, including outdoor adventures, Native American activities, major arena shows, and opportunities to improve your leadership skills while learning more about our Order.

You'll stay with friends in a college dorm, experience campus dining halls, and enjoy Scouting fellowship with thousands of other Arrowmen from around the country, including regional and national officers.

Registration and deposits will start this summer, so watch this space for more news in the coming months.
