Harvard Hall Unavailable for Fall Term
Harvard Hall will be offline until spring 2020 for renovations and restorations. For more information regarding this exciting upgrade, please see the Learning Space Renovations announcement.
Fall 2019 Classrooms Timeline:
Course Locations and Fall Event Requests
Please mark your calendars for fall classrooms preferences. I will send a reminder out about the following dates in June when EMS opens.
June 10th- July 15th
Course Room Preferences Open in the EMS Desktop Client
- New courses and time changes made during this time will sync into EMS each morning
- After July 15th, users may no longer enter preferences into EMS and must wait to received a room after all other courses that have entered preferences receive a room.
Early August
Tentative classroom assignments will be sent to each department for review.
Mid-August
Classroom assignments will be emailed directly to instructors.
Late August
Course locations will be visible in my.harvard. Fall event request and sections requests may be submitted via Roombook.
Resources and Training
All new course planners are strongly encourages to attend trainings and office hours.
EMS Training

During these sessions, we will review how to enter course room preferences for spaces controlled by the Registrar’s Office, your department-owned rooms, and department rooms that another school/department owns and has already confirmed; how to review the course room preferences you have entered; and how to edit course room preferences you have entered.

Staff will be available to review your work and answer any questions you might have about course locations. Office hours provide you with the opportunity to receive customized assistance.
