Why did He do it? What was His purpose in setting you and me free? That's what we are studying Sunday in the run-up to Pentecost (coming June 9th!) when we will celebrate the birthday of the CHURCH (not just our church, but the CHURCH...all of God's people everywhere!) and the MISSION that God has given to us and the POWER to carry out the mission!
So join us Sunday for part one of this special two-week study of FREEDOM in the words of Galatians 5 (<--which you could click and go read in advance!). Meanwhile, take note that we are also continuing our "How to Interpret The Bible" study at 9:00 am, where this week we will be looking at some examples of difficult passages. Take note that Debbie has stepped down from her position as Assistant to the Pastor (she has entered into a new opportunity which has been a blessing!), so we are looking for someone to fill that role. Note that a candidate has stepped forward to fill the role, but our Leadership Team felt it important to open this up to the congregation in the event there are others who are interested would have an opportunity to apply.

Praise & Worship is in the process of preparing to build a new Home Base for our ministry. Always remembering that “the church” is the people, this will be a new facility where we will Gather to Grow in Christ, and then be SENT out to Encourage and Share with others what Jesus has freely given to us!
All the final steps are being taken to “close” on the land purchase and simultaneously begin construction. These steps include completing the appraisal of the property, meeting environmental requirements and other similar details which are all in the process of being finished as you read this.
All indications are that there will be a ground-breaking in June! Stay tuned for an announcement coming soon on a date for a special ground-breaking celebration (we’ll put up tents and have an afternoon service and cookout) at our new location! Meanwhile, continue to pray for all these final preparations to be completed in the Lord's time.
