Is your web browser up to date?

These days most people are aware that viruses, spyware, adware and other types of malware are lurking in the shadows of the Internet, just waiting for an opportunity to sneak onto their computers’ hard drives and perform all kinds of mischief.

What many folks don’t know however is just how easy it is for a PC (and the sensitive data stored on it) to become compromised simply by using an out-of-date web browser.

Make sure that your web browsers are always up-to-date with the latest versions.

Simply visit WhatIsMyBrowser.com and it will tell you immediately if there’s an update available for the browser you used to visit the site. Whether you are using Google chrome, Firefox, Safari or Microsoft Edge, it doesn't matter!

If there happens to be an update available, you can install it with just a click or two. Then visit the site again with every browser that’s installed on your system to ensure complete protection.

As you probably know, most modern web browsers have an auto-update feature that periodically checks to see if there’s an update for the browser available and automatically installs it if it finds one.

But those auto-update checks are sometimes either turned off, blocked by security apps or simply don’t work for whatever reason. That’s why I recommend checking with WhatIsMyBrowser on a regular basis.

Did you know you can shop at Amazon and pay cash?

1 – Log into your Amazon account (or open one if you don’t already have one) and then visit the Amazon Cash page.

2 – Click the yellow Get your barcode button.

3 – Choose whether you want to print the barcode with your own printer or scan it with your smartphone by clicking the button that corresponds to your choice.

That’s all there is to it. You should now be in possession of your scanned or printed barcode.

If you clicked Text my barcode you’ll receive the text within a minute or two. Simply take your phone to one of the local retailers listed on the Amazon Cash page and let the cashier scan the barcode.

If you chose to print the barcode instead of scanning it, the cashier can scan the printed barcode.

Either way, after the cashier has scanned your barcode you’ll be asked how much cash you wish to add to your Amazon account. After you give the cashier the money you’ll be given a reciept that shows how much you have to spend on Amazon.

The amount of cash you added to your account will be automatically added to your gift card balance on Amazon, ready for you to spend at any time.
