LADIES FOOTBALL

Our scheduled Adult Ladies Intermediate Championship Semi-Final against Skerries Harps has been postponed tonight.  A decision on whether it will be refixed or whether Cuala will go straight through to the Final is now in the hands of the Dublin Ladies Gaelic Football County Board.

The game was reset earlier than expected by the County Board due to a combination of County commitments and the need to field a Dublin Champion in the Leinster Championship in September.

MEN’S FOOTBALL

Well done Dave O’Dowd and Cuan Nugent part of the Dublin Minor's that beat Wicklow last weekend.  They now face Westmeath in the Leinster Semi-Final on June 22nd.

Good luck to Michael Fitzsimons, Con O’Callaghan and Brian Mulally all part of the Dublin Senior panel taking on Kildare on Sunday.

Well done to the second footballers who beat St Monica’s on Tuesday night.  Hard luck to the firsts who went down to a strong St Jude’s team in the League last night.

HURLING

Massive game for our lads involved with Dublin next Saturday night against Galway with the winner going into the knock out stages of the All Ireland and a potential Leinster Final.  All to play for on the final day.

All four of our hurling teams are in league action next weekend as well.

CAMOGIE

Back with news from the Camogie section next week.

MAJOR NEW SPONSORSHIP

Cuala and our neighbours US Biotechnology firm Amgen have agreed on the first ever GAA club sponsorship to include education and employment incentives.

Amgen’s support of Cuala will last for 3 years and will include an annual education bursary and mentoring for the bursary recipient, a guaranteed place on a world-renowned eight-month paid internship programme as well as funding the preparation of all the club’s adult football and camogie teams.

Well done the U12 Boys who won four out of four in the B Competition at Fingallians Hurling Blitz last weekend to take the trophy in style.  Also to the second team we fielded who won two out of their four to finish runners up in the C Competition.

Well done to all the Cuala players involved with the Shankill team that became Dublin Champions in Skerries last week.  They now go on to represent the County in the Leinster Championship on July 6th.  Caman the girls.
