With 'Das Boot VR Demise' the player is sent back to 1942 to be trained to command a class VII type German WWII U-boat. While silently seeking a convoy of Allied freighters, the submarine encounters a British destroyer. In a desperate diving maneuver, the player can try to escape the merciless attack and experience the desperate fight for survival of German WWII submariners first hand.

'Das Boot VR Demise', which has released on Viveport, is far more than just a groundbreaking standalone experience and virtual deep-dive in the living room wearing HTC Vive. At the same time the virtual trip serves as a spectacular teaser for the claustrophobia to expect once players start their multiplayer experience at one of the numerous Hologate locations later this summer.

Hologate, the most successful location-based multiplayer VR system will turn the deep-dive into a breathtaking coop-experience, confronting up to 4 players not only with gripping life-or-death-decisions but with a superior adversary.  Thus making them part of an immersive experience which helps to make the horrors of World War II more comprehensible than ever before.

'Das Boot' has been licensed for games by Bavaria Fiction and has been funded by the FFF in the Prototype production.
